Best of the week

This weeks' best of:

Christmas day outfit - I like this dress but need to add a little fake tan to the old legs next time I wear it!

Dress from, paperscissors - I risked Christmas Eve shopping this year and picked up a few bargains before boxing day crowds. This was one of them as well as the belt.

Nothing beats jeans when hanging out with a three year old. I even risked a white jumper!

Jeans from just jeans, burgundy vest from kmart and white jumper from forever new. It's so soft and light weight I think it's already a favourite! New sandals from ruby shoes too - ridiculously comfy and look great (so much so I bought two pairs in different colours!).

Best of the week

Did you miss me? Christmas festivities got the best of me last week so I skipped my blog but rest assured - I haven't forgotten this week!

I have had this belt for about 10 years and never really got that much wear out of it but I've recently found it's great for adding a little something to an outfit.

I like this layered look but really need to invest in new sandals and stop with the thongs (flipflops)!

Again with a belt (but a different one this time). I've worn this top before on my blog but untucked it this time, added a belt and a different pair of pants and it looks like a whole different outfit. Cream kitten heels add the finishing touch.

I've been umming and ahhing about getting some black leggings and finally bit the bullet last week as a friend had given me this great tunic. I love the look and it was super comfy but smart enough to wear to work.

Love my makeup on this one and with my hair up in a pony tail I think I look fresh faced for once. The blue in the dress should really be credited though.

Thoughts on all of my outfits are as always welcome and appreciated and thanks to all who have donated clothes or bought me vouchers for birthdays as the majority of the outfits I wore this week were 'freebies'!

Best of the week

Just two outfits this week - slowly running out so I will need to start getting inventive and re-mixing soon to see what I can come up with! 

Nice plain one, super comfy but I still like it. With my hair up in a messy twist it was smart casual - perfect for work.

Black pants from op shop, shoes from kmart and top from somewhere in the uk.

My black jacket arrived from ebay and it's perfect!

Worked really well to dress down my snazzy dress for a work function. I actually won this dress about 4 years ago and this is only the second time I've worn it but I love the colour and it's got fabric draped everywhere so it's very forgiving. I won the shoes too and from this distance you can't even see that the dog has chewed one of the heels :)

Best of the week

This weeks 'Best of the week' is dedicated to my new hair colour! Thanks to my gorgeous daughter falling asleep super early on the sofa and me being at a loose end (ok, admittedly I could have done the house work!) I decided it was time to take the plunge and risk the home dye pack I'd bought earlier that day. And here's the result....

It looks a lot lighter than it was and I'm really happy with it. As we go into summer here in Australia it's going to be perfect and it's helped to freshen up my look!

Most of my outfits this week were repeats but I did mix it up this weekend with my two colour k-mart dress (an oldie but a goodie)...

...and my blue maxi dress. Simple and cool to wear but it's one of my favourites.

As you can see - I love my thongs (flip-flops) and live in them as much as possible during summer so you'll have to get used to seeing them.
